I washed it off immediately. I didn't shave recently for this to happen. Could it be an allergic response? It doesn't burn anywhere else.

You may just have a little sensitivity to it in that area. I would try diluting it further with a little coconut oil. If that doesn't work, just apply in the other areas (where it doesn't bother you) as directed and you should see the same benefits.
